Job Role Summary
As our PR Account Executive, you will be working on integrated PR campaigns that encompass Earned, Owned, Paid and Shared media tactics. We support our clients using a combination of traditional, digital and social media tools and techniques.
As part of your day-to-day responsibilities, you will be writing and managing the production of press releases, case studies, blogs and opinion / by-lined articles; tracking industry news and hot topics in the Press; pitching story ideas to journalists; and helping to implement strategic B2B Technology PR campaigns.
You will be exposed to client communications and therefore you will have specific project management responsibilities that require you to ensure ‘quality control’ over any materials presented to clients and to the Press. You will work with the PR team to ensure that all client milestones and Press targets are met. You will also play a key role in the effective monitoring and measurement of all PR activity undertaken by the Consultancy on behalf of the client.
You must be enthusiastic and have the ability to balance a busy workload across multiple client accounts.
-Education
Degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or a related field.
-Experience
One years’ PR experience (preferably one year in Technology and/or B2B).
-Understanding of PR
An understanding of how PR and the media works and proven success from working with journalists.
-Communications
Superb written and oral communications as well as a good level of copywriting skills.
-Social Media
Proven experience in the use of Twitter and LinkedIn for PR as well as any social media tools (Hootsuite, BuzzSumo, HubSpot etc.)
-Organised
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to multitask, work in a team environment, and meet strict deadlines.
