Being able to build your website in HubSpot isn’t something new, but it’s the functionality is so much easier than it's ever been before. The HubSpot platform is constantly pushing the boundary of marketing automation software and considering your website is the central component of all your inbound marketing efforts, you should be safeguarding yourself against falling behind the times.

HubSpot Website BuildingCompanies that use the HubSpot Website Platform see visits rise by 40%, and landing page submission increase by 47%.

HubSpot announced that they have been working on an initiative at the company called ‘The Easy Initiative’, which has been working towards making everything easier for the user - easier dashboards, easier interfaces, easier editing tools. With over 1,600 updates in the past two years, HubSpot is ever changing, but don’t let this scare you off.  These recent updates include:

  • New inline editing tool - including optimiser’s for all pages, providing SEO suggestions to help you improve your rankings, as well as suggesting where you should be using smart content.

  • Preview tool available on all pages – all HubSpot websites are created and ready for mobile, however with this tool you can check what your page looks like on a number of different screen sizes.

These updates are cool, but what’s actually new?

It’s now easier than ever to move your website into HubSpot, starting with a new staging area that serves as a preview of work before your go live date.  Even more, simply enter your current website URL and HubSpot will crawl the site and provide you with all the URLs it can find. This makes is much easier for you to categorise these pages into site pages, landing pages and blog posts, before HubSpot actually creates these pages for your new site. HubSpot will include the page title, URL, meta information and even any downloadable assets including PDFs and images and place them into your file manager.

Lastly, if you host your website in HubSpot you automatically receive a SSL certificate. This isn’t just important for the security for your site and your organisation, but also from an SEO best practice perspective as Google is starting to factor in SSL certifications into its search rankings.
